What is an Exercise Physiologist?

An Exercise Physiologist is a profession that utilises exercise as a way to treat and manage different types of health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cancers, and obesity and others. On top of the exercise component, education is a large part of Exercise physiology and is used to assist in empowering the individual to make their own choices.

What you can expect from an appointment?

An Exercise Physiology appointment is a 40-minute initial consult where we will discuss the focus of the visit, past medical history, and goals. Assessments specific to the information given will be made, and importantly, we will create a specific and individualised, supervised exercise plan moving forward to help you achieve your goals. Following the initial appointment, sessions will be 30 minutes. This time will be used for accountability and objective reassessment which may lead to progression or modifying the current plan.

Clients that see an Exercise Physiologist range from private paying, TAC, DVA, Work cover, Medicare, to NDIS. The best results are achieved when I work with those that are willing to trust the process and work alongside your physio or other treating medical practitioner.   Together we can make a massive impact on your life.
